Tallest Bell Tower in the Middle Ages
Even as early as in the Middle Ages, Vienna was a step ahead (or... a step higher): The southern tower of St. Stephen's Cathedral was the world's tallest building for a long time after it was completed in 1433, surpassing its then competitor in Prague. HoHo Vienna will be completed at the end of 2018. Skyscrapers made of wood are being projected in Vancouver as well as in London and Paris. The attention the construction industry around the world is giving wood as a natural resource bodes well for our future. We look forward to seeing our wood-constructing competitors break further world records.
